Rogue Trader Dynasties

The Rogue Trader Dynasties of the Koronus Expanse are a varied lot. As a newly opened Imperial frontier, it is home to an abnormally large amount of relatively young dynasties. Many have since perished in the cold stars and harsh warp routes of the Expanse. Even so, it is home to nearly two hundred lineages bearing Warrants of Trade

Epic Rogue Trader Dynasties
Those of the Epic Dynasties dominate much of the Expanse. While some control vast stretches of planets as if it were their own small empire, others instead press their thumbs upon aspects of trade in the region and control it upon their whims. These dynasties have immense power and often command immense wealth and fleets of vessels. These houses are constantly aware of their vulnerability. While many are terrified or amazed by the strength of these houses, others seek to replace them, and their peers-the other Epic Dynasties as well as the most powerful organizations of lords in Calixis and neighboring sectors-often have ambitions of toppling them to eliminate a rival and open new markets.

Great Rogue Trader Dynasties
The Great Dynasties are powerful and wealthy, but they do not have the strength to make the rest of the Expanse quake in their passing. While they are perhaps unable to control vast sections of the trade and planets within the region, it is not uncommon for a Great Dynasty to have significant holdings in the Expanse and/or in the Calixis or neighboring sectors. These dynasties are among those few capable of possibly rising to become Epic Dynasties, but they are also all capable of falling if their rivals can strike a deadly blow.

While they do not wield tremendous power through wealth or ship hulls, they are capable of holding their own against many threats within the Expanse. These houses are many and varied, and often, they are the most powerful individuals ones may find in-person on locations such as Footfall and Port Wander day to day.

Minor Rogue Trader Dynasties
The Minor Dynasties are the most numerous of the Rogue Traders operating in and around the Koronus Expanse. Many command no more than a ship or two, and some very unfortunate have no hulls left at all to their disposal. No dynasty is forever condemned to be a minor house, and all have the opportunity to rise to greater heights or to be dashed upon the rocks. Unfortunately for those scions of these houses, to rise higher is an ardeus task given the threats in the Expanse as well as the rivals waiting for them.
